The fundraising dinner with Rinpoche to support earthquake relief efforts and repair of the Amitabha Retreat Center in Nepal has been rescheduled to September 10. There will also be a boat trip on San Francisco Bay for the scattering of ashes of loved ones, a prayer for world peace, and the release of white doves on September 13. Click here for more details of these two events.

S.C. is nearly 2. Like any other baby, she likes to play around home. She has a beautiful smile and loving nature. Her mother escaped from Tibet to seek refuge in India, and presently lives in the Tibetan Settlement in Bylakuppe with her husband in a rented house. Sonam’s father has been sick for quite some time and is not able to support his family. Please help Sonam C. so her mother can seek childcare and better nutritious food and prepare her for schooling in the years to come.

T.T. is 64 years old and living in Ladakh. He is physically not well and on medication year-round. His only source of income is from seasonal farming work. He is facing a lot of difficulty raising his two children.

 Ani G. L.T.D. and his sister, G.L. are both ordained and live in the holy city of Tso Pema in North India.  The brother is blind and the two of them have no one else to support them. They were sponsored for one year and then the sponsor had to discontinue.

 

 

 

 

Tenzin C.T. C. is an active 12-year-old girl who loves to sing and dance during her leisure time. She is currently studying in 6th standard at school in Bylakuppe. Her father has been sick for several months and is not able to support his family. They are seeking a sponsor who will help with her school expenses and help her pursue further studies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rinzin D.

R.D. is 11 years old. She lives in Bylakuppe with her three brothers. She and her brothers are taken care of by their father their aunt’s house. Unfortunately, her father doesn’t have a steady job, and works night duty at a hospital. R.D. has a good academic record, but it is difficult for her family to contribute much towards her education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

T.B. (no photo available) is Ayang Rinpoche and True Lhamo’s housekeeper. She is single and has two grown children, her mother and a grandson to take care of from her salary. She takes care of their house when Rinpoche and Truelha are traveling.

We are happy to announce that H.E. Choje Ayang Rinpoche will give his Phowa Course in San Jose, California September 1-11, 2015. For the daily teaching and practice schedule, please see the Revised San Jose 2015 Schedule. Rinpoche strongly advises participants to attend the full course. Additional activities with Rinpoche, including a fundraiser to support earthquake relief efforts and repair of the Amitabha Retreat Center in Nepal, are being planned for September 12 and 13. We wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible so they can plan their vacation and travel schedules, but please be advised that we are still waiting for Ayang Rinpoche’s USA visa to be renewed. Because of Rinpoche’s tight schedule and health, San Jose is the only place he will teach in the USA in 2015.
