NOTICE: HE Ayang Rinpoche December 2022 True Nature of Mind Teachings POSTPONED

This notice comes from HE Ayang Rinpoche and from Amitabha Foundation, Inc., Ayang Rinpoche’s charitable corporation in the US.

HE Ayang Rinpoche’s True Nature of Mind teachings and associated Vajrasattva empowerment and teachings originally scheduled to be given in San Jose, CA in mid-December 2022 have been postponed.   Although Rinpoche’s intent is to offer these teachings instead at an alternate time in the future, no future date has been scheduled at this time.  Once a new date is scheduled the information will be posted well in advance on the Amitabha Foundation website at https://amitabhafoundation.us.

The teachings originally scheduled for December 2022 were not being organized by the Amitabha Foundation and neither HE Ayang Rinpoche nor the Amitabha Foundation has access to the list or contact information of those who may have registered with the private party organizing the event.  We are posting this announcement in an effort to ensure that those who may have registered are notified of this change as soon as possible.

HE Ayang Rinpoche regrets that he is unable to offer the teachings in December 2022 as planned.

Following earlier discussion, Ayang Rinpoche notified the private event organizer on October 25th 2022 that he would not be able to offer the teachings scheduled for December in San Jose and requested that the organizer notify those who may have already registered as soon as possible. For those who may not receive notification of this postponement from the private organizer or who may receive information from the private organizer seeming to indicate that the teachings will go forward as planned, Ayang Rinpoche wishes to clearly emphasize that he will NOT be offering True Nature of Mind teachings or associated Vajrasattva empowerment and teachings in San Jose, CA in December 2022.

Vajrakilaya Annual Drupcho Ceremony

Vajrakilaya (Dorje Phurba) Drubchoe, October 21-25, 2022

Dedications for the Prayer List due by Noon (Pacific) Monday, October 24 (Offerings welcome anytime).

At Ayang Rinpoche’s monastery in South India they are holding their annual Vajrakilaya Drupchoe Puja, October 21-25, 2022. Vajrakilaya (Dorje Phurba) is one of the most effective yidam practices, which are the root of spiritual accomplishment. It is known in the Tibetan Buddhist world as the most powerful means of destroying the forces counteracting compassion and of purifying obscurations and negativity.  The phurba, or wisdom dagger, is a symbol of our unchangeable true nature of mind. “Vajrakilaya is the best practice to clear away any kind of obstacles.”

All the monastery’s lamas, monks, nuns and associated lay people in the community will do elaborate offering prayers and chant the Vajrakilaya mantra for five full days. There will be no official count of the mantras, but everyone is encouraged to participate by chanting the mantra at home.

2022 Vajrayogini Drupchö in Bylakuppe

The annual Vajrayogini (Dorje Phagmo) Drupchö (extensive prayer ceremony) will be held September 8-12, 2022 at Ayang Rinpoche’s monastery in Bylakuppe.

Ayang Rinpoche said about Vajrayogini: “Among all the wisdom dakinis, Vajrayogini is the highest. She represents the True Nature of Mind, Prajnaparamita, the mother of all the Buddhas of the three times and ten directions.” (Sydney, March 2018)

Vajrayogini is one of the main deities for self-visualization in Ngöndro (preliminary practices), Phowa and Guru Yoga meditation practiced by many lineages in Vajrayana Buddhism.  Achi Chökyi Drolma,  the main guardian deity of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, is an emanation of Vajrayogini.

Those who would like to make an auspicious connection with the Vajrayogini Drupchö by making an offering in the name of a loved one, may send their donations to the Drikung Charitable Society account. For a tax deductible donation in the U.S., please send your check to the Amitabha Foundation, P.O. Box 2572, Aptos, California 95001, or donate online below. You may send names for dedication to info@amitabhafoundation.us until September 10th at 8 am Pacific time. Names of donors and their loved ones will be posted in the temple during the puja.
